Around the U.K.: Durham Cathedral, Durham

On a Saturday morning, a friend and I took a train to the neighboring city of Durham. The ride is about 20min and is a great option for a day trip from Newcastle. You can buy train tickets in advance [EastCoastTrains] and pick them up at the station.

Durham Cathedral was used as a filming location in some of the Harry Potter films. That may or may not have influenced my decision to visit. Yes, I am a Potterhead.

The original blog post on my visit can be found [here]. Also, here is a link to Durham Cathedral’s website.

4 Privet Drive - London

If you ever find yourself in London, don’t forget to visit Harry Potter’s house.

Even the Royal family loves Harry Potter. Bless. [And I’ve had the opportunity to see that place! Amazing!]

The Royal family takes a trip to Diagon Alley to get their wands.

This is awesome. (Kinda looks like Ron, Hermione, and Harry!)

Around the UK: Millennium Bridge - London
In the 6th Harry Potter film, this bridge was destroyed by the Death Eaters aka ‘the bad guys’.
Useless fact that you can share with your friends. :D

Warner Bro Studio Tour - The Making of Harry Potter: London, England

I had the pleasure of seeing Harry’s snitch in the flesh. Up close.

THE GOLDEN SNITCH! The real deal from the movie!

If you think the “Harry Potter Exhibition” they have in the USA is even remotely better than this place…

It’s not.

I bet you can’t guess where this was taken.

….

If your answer was the filming studio where all 8 of the Harry Potter films were made - you are correct! This photo was taken in the Great Hall. A very awesome day in London.
